Well lads. Trying to get ready for the EURO 2020 on Friday but just noticed that my RTE Player is missing the live section. Updated the app on my 2019 Samsung Smart TV but still no Live section on the left. Any ideas why that could be? Cheers!
Unfortunately it doesn't have live RTE player on Nowtv I looked it up. I was wondering this meself today because the euros is on. The best thing you can do is if you have a laptop is use a HDMI cable plug it into the laptop then it connects with the TV.

Anyone know where I can get the RTE Player Android app edited or modded so that on Android TVs, the app thinks it's on a mobile device to display the live channels? (it currently doesn't show live channels on Android TV while it does on mobile devices, even though it's the same app)
Hi all, just set up RTE player on my Nvidia Shield but I'm not seeing any option to watch live programming, am I missing something? The android app has an On Now section, is it not available on the Nvidia Shield app for some reason?
Only today discovered that there’s no way to watch it live through that app, which was annoying. I have found it freezing a bit when watching shows through that app though. Mostly when it comes to one of the 7 ads you have to watch, then it stalls and I have to come out and start the episode again, then sit through all those ads again.
Plus the RTE Player on Apple TV has live view and for a very long time didn't even play adverts, let alone get stuck in its famous buffering loop. Reply reply CondiNoble
The reason why the TV version of RTE player app doesn’t have Live TV is akin to Spotify only allowing you to select songs without Premium on any device but a mobile phone. They want you paying for the service be it through Sky, TV license or whatever it takes to get RTE into the house “legitimately”.
RTE Player has really been pissing me off since the start of the WC. Constantly crashing, 2/3minute delays from live feed. I know its because everyone is logging on to watch the games and surge in traffic makes it slower, but ya think RTE would of predicated this and upgraded the technology.
You can get all the BBC channels plus RTE 1 & 2 and TG4 with a Freeview box (broadcast from Divis & Black Mountain). You don’t get the other RTE channels or the Virgin channels from down south though.
