I don't understand any of it. Aside from that I'm not even sure that Yahoo allows users to link their Yahoo email account to Outlook. And I thought, at some time, I read information on a Microsoft website that said Outlook no longer supports Yahoo mail. I keep getting mixed messages on this issue. This may be a lost cause for me.
The touchpad was never disabled but apparently an Outlook email address was created. He has a Yahoo account and has never had an Outlook account. It was told to me that the password to the Outlook account was never provided to him. He has had several issues using the new laptop with trying to view his Yahoo emails. I have had two Yahoo email accounts. Neither email account is configured in Outlook 365. In an attempt to stop the pop-ups, I closed both of my Yahoo email accounts today. Apparently, however, it will be about 30 days for these accounts to be removed from Yahoo's servers. A screen shot of the pop-up window is shown below. Thanks for our help.

The last couple days I cannot sign into my Yahoo mail using Edge. I keep getting the message "can't reach this page". I've cleared my history, cookies, etc. Still doesn't work.
To create a shortcut for Yahoo mail, I suggest you to follow the steps below: Right click on empty space of the desktop and hover the mouse pointer over at New from the context menu. Select Shortcut and type https://mail.yahoo.com web address in the address bar. Click on Next and Finish. Check if the shortcut icon is created on the desktop.
Outlook 2019 verbindet sich nicht mit Yahoo IMAP Server; Im Netz finde ich nur alte Sachen wie Einstellungen aus früheren Yahoo Versionen oder das ganze Thema mit der Generierung des Einmal Passwortes, was auch nicht klappt. Die Verbindungsdaten zum IMAP und SMTP Server wie die Ports , SSL, etc. stimmen definitiv, es klappt einfach nicht.
My regular email login credentials would not allow me to add the Yahoo account. I had to open Yahoo Mail with a browser, log in and then go to Settings>Account Security>App Password>Generate App Password and use the temporary password it generated. Then both email clients added the Yahoo account successfully. Perhaps it will work for you too 🤞
