(I waste multiple hours on U-tube each day, and I have nothing to offer about why youtube vids might not work in Safari. Do you get an error, or popup of some kind?
I use Master YouTube for Safari. It has many of the same (not all) features of Enhancer. https://youtubemaster.cc

I’d like to have a clean, blank slate YouTube feed with a mere search bar and no recommended videos, similar to the DF YouTube Chrome extension. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Only seems to happen in Youtube loaded on Safari and it's always between 1 and 2 seconds of the video loading. Thanks. Nope. I tried a few demos in Apple Store with wired headphones since it is always noisy there. Both Macbook Pro 16 and 14 have this problem, but not Macbook Air or the old Macbook Pro 13.
Youtube in safari also allows you to play a video in the background. The app doesn't allow this. Play youtube video, flick up control center, press play, double tap the home button, move onto another app.

Apple is rumoured to support sideloading on iPhone and iPad, but for now, I want to have a YT ReVanced alternative on the App Store. For now, I am using Brave Browser with adblocking and youtube.com. But I want an app experience, not website. I tried an app called Tube Browser Pro, but from the name, it's still a browser. Any good recommendations?
