You create several opportunities for learners to self and peer assess at the end of tasks or during the plenary. You can implement a range of assessment-for-learning practices in the classroom. You can question effectively and manage the whole-class dialogue.
What is self and peer assessment? Self-assessment enables students to take ownership of their learning by judging the extent of their knowledge and understanding. It provides a structure for them to reflect on their work, what they have learned and how to improve.
