I'm having trouble downloading transactions from Huntington Bank website into Quicken on my desktop computer. I'm needing to download 7/31/2024 thru the current date. From the Huntington website I select "download transactions", I select the date range, I select the file format "quicken", I select download.
Then, search Hunting National Bank in the list and select it. However, instead of clicking "Next", click on Advanced Options instead (see below). Then, click Continue on the following screen, and on the next screen you will see 3 choices; Express Web Connect, Direct Connect, and Web Connect.
Quicken does not charge a fee for this. And I believe Huntington includes this feature for free or it is included within the monthly PC Banking service fee they might charge. You can also schedule transfers between Huntington bank accounts from within Quicken. Very convenient.
As for the article reference - I already download transactions at least once a week, but generally at least 3x/week. If I were to contact Huntington Bank iI I don't know what I would tell them. It seems like the issue is on the Quicken software side and there is some problem with the way new payees are pushed up to Huntington.
Ever since I upgraded Quicken in September, I've been having persistent connection issues with my bank, Huntington. I use direct connect to pay bills, not the Quicken bill pay. Other accounts including investment and credit card accounts connect just fine. But more often than not, Huntington has issues.

I'm running Windows 10 As I'd mentioned, when logging into the bank via a web browser there was no popup, but Quicken still errors out. One other detail is that Huntington sends a notice that an unregistered device is trying to log into my account when Quicken tries to connect -- this doesn't happen anymore from the browser.

Once this change has been made on the bank's end, to make the financial institution switch in Quicken, you will need to deactivate all the accounts and remove the old financial institution information for each account, then reactivate the accounts by connecting to the new financial institution name.
