That .exe file seems to work (it produces the Snipping Tool window with the "New" option. Clicking New creates a cursor that looks like a plus sign (rather than the scissors I had been getting recently). The Snipping Tool is now working as it did before my problem began. Thank you for trying to help.

I just got my update to Windows 11 a couple of days ago. Everything seems pretty good, except that the snipping tool doesn't work anymore. I used to use the shortcut, Windows Key + Shift + S, while I was on Windows 10. It opened the Snip & Sketch app, and it was perfect. After the update, the shortcut doesn't work anymore.

To my knowledge, the Snipping tool only helps to record video without any sound for now. To record your screen using Snipping tool, simply search for it in the Start menu search box then press the Record button in the top toolbar. Press New then select a portion of your screen you would like to record.
Hello guys, my users have some issue with Snipping tool shape feature, seems like the shape icon is blend with 3 dots beside that icon shapes. i hope there is anyone that have same issue like me and guide me how to troubleshoot it. i already do repair, reset, and reinstall the Snipping tool. its happened on Windows 11. my users really need that ...
Click on Start menu icon in lower left corner of taskbar area and type in Snipping Tool: t: You will be directed to the Apps area, then select "Default Apps": Scroll down the list for Screen or Snip. My PC showed MS-Screenclip or I could select Snipping Tool. Good luck, my PC is about to restart!
Overall I've been noticing some issues when using the "Snipping Tool" where it will randomly freeze the system either during opening or after snipping an image. What it will also do is while the system is frozen, both monitors will then display black screens and then reappear after a couple of seconds with the system back to being responsive.
