Currently I will take a model form thingiverse and upload it into maker world from my own profile and then download it form there which is a very long and tedious process but when I’m in Bambu studio my thingiverse files don’t show as an option how can I change this?
It's a shame Thingiverse is dying but I'm glad to see any alternatives. And to be clear to all, any large groups that are influential in the community may make a request for a pin. I'm trying to facilitate community engagement more like that when I'm not too busy.
Thingiverse got a new development team working on it since the merger between Ultimaker and Makerbot. I mean, there is a lot of neglect to fix, but it's moving in the right direction again. Reply reply

It seems Thingiverse has disabled 1 click downloading of items listed. So the 90 file storage system I've found, that has 90 parts, it's now a 10 minute ordeal to download instead of 1 click for a zipped file. So has anyone got any recommendations to alternative sites like Thingiverse?
The only advantage would be sending the model to print directly from a slicer-deprived device, like a phone, to a prusa-connect / octoprint enabled device, and get it started printed in seconds without spending the few minutes to download it on your computer, slice it, save it on the USB, unplug the USB and bring it to the printer, then start it.
Thingiverse is in a bad state technically and owned by a shit company that doesn't care. But it's still the best site out there in terms of content and layout. Prusaprinters is nice and getting better. But a lot of people just publish stuff from Thingiverse that they don't even own in order to get credits for filament. People even create bots ...

its because Thingiverse is unmaintained by its current owners, entire sections of it randomly go missing, it is flooded with piss poor models and the search function barely works so finding the models that are actually worth looking at isn't easy. Thingiverse is the myspace of 3D printing. it was first, but it wont last.
I think a lot of people in the 3d printing community are looking for an alternative to thingiverse right now. Having to wait 5s for each file when downloading 20 files is absurd in my opinion. Been looking these last days, but cant find an alternative I like, however cults is decent i guess.
