I haven't got a right ctrl key on my keyboard and it's a real problem for me. I want to create a macro on one of my p1-p6 key but can't simulate the right ctrl push and release event for record it. please need help..
I don't use the fingerprint reader, so I don't see the purpose of it. A BIOS update that would allow that key to be reprogrammed into the CTRL function would be very useful, so I hope that you will soon find a solution to return us the right CTRL key, because we need it. This is not a cheap product, so I think we should have that option available.
Can HP help me here? To my surprise my new HP Envy laptop x360 does not have the right side 'ctrl' key on the keyboard. The right side ctrl key is very useful for running commands. How could HP miss this! This is a design flaw in my opinion. How is Hp gonna help me?
However, it appears that "alt gr" key (on the right of space bar) behaves as Ctrl key when it comes to multiple selection. It is "ok-ish" but HP might want to consider smaller "shift" keys to leave space of a true right "Ctrl" key. Apart from that, my Spectre 15 x360 gives me entire satisfaction.
The right control key does not work with most of the leftmost diagonal of keys. Right ctrl + tab, right ctrl + esc, + a, + q, + z (and a few others, but the laptop is at the office currently) all do nothing. The keys themselves work properly, and Left ctrl + keys work.
Hi, I recently bought this model: HP Pavilion - 15-cs0004nj 4CA38EA and the right Ctrl key is missing from the keyboard, instead there's a "\\|" button. Is this on purpose of a defect? I saw in the manual and online that it must have a right Ctrl key. Thank you.

Everything seem to work except 1 key. The key right aside of alt-gr with \,< and > on it. After doing some tests with powertoys keymapper I found that the key is mapped to the unexisting right control key. All drivers and bios seem to be up-to-date. Any ideas ?
