I wanted to share some important news about Routenote. After a lot of consideration, we've made the tough decision to shut down Routenote, effective 11/5/24. Routenote claim they review releases from 24 to 72 hours. But when you upload your track, you discover that you need to wait from 5 to 10 working days ! It's been over 14 working days and I am still waiting. Routenote are completely unreliable, I'd cancel my submission if i could, but then I'd have to wait like probably 6 months or something ?
I understand that RouteNote has a backlog of things to go through, at least based on what I’ve read, so what tends to be the new average time for getting this stuff through? I have some releases that need to be deleted before review, three that need to be reviewed, and more music almost done about to join the waiting list of releases.
For those who don't know routenote is the distibutor who will distribute your album for free in exchange for a small percentage (10%). The other option is to pay for the distribution liscence, which costs the usual amount. If you look them up you will see many glowing reviews but I suspect they've been planted or paid for or something like that.
RouteNote. RouteNote offers free and paid plans, both offer the same features. The difference is that the free plan takes 15% of the royalties where the paid plan takes 0%. The paid plan comes in two stages, for each release, they charge a one-time release fee, $10 for a single, $20 for an EP and $30 for an album.
I can see the release in the "Distribution" section on routenote, and on Spotify and other platforms. I'm trying to claim my profile through routenote on Spotify since it says I can get instant access, but whenever I type anything in the text box "Artist Name" to find the my profile, nothing shows up (no drop down list), the loading logo just appears for a second at right end of the text box ...
I've tried to reach out to Routenote's support team for some clarity or any kind of assistance, but it's been radio silence for over two weeks now. I'm not sure where I went wrong or if this is some kind of glitch, but the lack of communication from Routenote is incredibly frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this?
There is a post about blocking of AI content in the routenote sub. Did someone of you managed to monetize (great) Suno-songs?
Is RouteNote proving to start becoming not sustainable? Let's be real/honest. The only reason they exist is for (and because of) their "free" service. No one in their own right mind, will pay for their premium service (it's simply a rip off, when you can find better and cheaper alternatives in other companies/distributors).
They get your music posted in 4-5 DAYS vs. the 4-5 WEEKS you have to wait on other services. and they take the same 15% of profits that routenote takes BUT they don't have any "premium" version that can be paid for, they just give you the ability to post high quality wav files and large high res cover art right off the bat.
