Hi, I cant log-in to my hotmail account. I've been trying several things indicated in the website but no success. Please help as there are lots of important personal emails.
My spouse created a new account. She forgot her password. Tried to recover the account and provided a gmail account to send the code. Code was entered, password was reset but still the account is

hotmail.com is nowadays just one of several aliases for outlook.live.com, so that's where you'd expect to end up. Just sign in with your Hotmail email address and password when you get there. Noel Burgess MVP (Ret'd)
I knew that Microsoft was allowing use of hotmail.com addresses when they changed over to just Outlook.com and I could at that time still sign-in at hotmail.com sign-in; now I've found that I can no longer use the hotmail.com sign-in link, but must use the outlook.com sign-in link.
Here are the steps to access your Hotmail account: 1. Visit the login page: Go to https://outlook.live.com. 2. Enter your Hotmail address: Enter your Hotmail email address (e.g., yourname @ hotmail.com) in the login box. 3. Enter your password: Enter the password associated with your Hotmail account. 4. Log in: Click the "Sign In" button.
For some reason my hotmail account (*****@hotmail.com) is locked out and I'm unable to log back in. I went through the recovery steps and still won't let me. Please assist. This is my account and I can't get in. Please do not send me the link to recover as it doesn't work for me.
Step 3 - I enter my password and click on Sign in, instead of showing my emails, it takes me to the screen shown in step 1 again Step 4 - I repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 listed above, and the second time, the login happens and I can see my emails.
