The Department of Veterans Services (DVS) is organized into six service delivery sections – Benefits; the Virginia Veteran & Family Support (VVFS) program; Veterans Education, Transition, and Employment (VETE); veterans care centers; veterans cemeteries; and the Virginia War Memorial.
The Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) has 38 offices across the Commonwealth to serve service members, veterans, and their families. DVS also maintains three veterans cemeteries, three veteran skilled nursing facilities (care centers), and the Virginia War Memorial.
Information on current federal, state and local veterans’ programs, entitlements and referral services is available in Virginia through a network of 38 benefit service offices. Some office locations also offer service at itinerant sites.

The new Jones & Cabacoy Veterans Care Center (JCVCC) is in the Princess Anne section of Virginia Beach on a 25-acre site adjacent to Nimmo Parkway (extended), West Neck Rd, and N. Landing Rd. The land for the care center was donated by the City of Virginia Beach.
The Richmond VA Medical Center Office operating hours are Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Veterans will be seen from 8:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Appointments are highly recommended. Walk-ins may be seen around appointments, time permitting, but walk-in service is not guaranteed.

Customer appointments are accommodated Monday through Friday between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. and may be scheduled at vesa.dvs.virginia.gov. Walk-ins are welcomed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
