I personally started working 2 months ago as a temp at Tesco express, they told me I was a hard worker and extended my contract for 4 months, hopefully this leads to me being a permanent employee. So far, working there has been pretty chill, my colleagues are nice and supportive and the manager is alright but the guy can be a bit sly sometimes.

Express or Extra? Two job offers Currently between jobs and after several interviews this week I've gotten offers from both an Express and and Extra (specifically in Fruit and Veg). Wasn't able to pick up the calls so they are both by email and I haven't had to commit to either yet. Any opinions on which would be better?
Tesco Express Can anyone explain how this scam works , I just had to pop into a Tesco express in london , there were a lot of guys nots speaking English , with baskets full of alcohol & Persil , the stores contactless doesn’t work , but they are paying by cards with Pin at cigarette counter ?
The Express stores are the smallest of the Tesco stores, besides the garages that accompany most Extra stores. In them, you'll find everything you probably need for the week, although limited on choice. They have a range of bread, dairy, produce items, as well as frozen food, domestic goods, alcohol etc.
I might have an opportunity to become a shift leader in a Tesco express but I'm not sure if it's a great idea as I've spoken to most of the shift leaders at my place and a lot of then have said it's not great as you don't get your breaks and you have no choice over your shifts, 2 of the 3 that I spoke too have since left so make of that what you will.
