Kirkjufell is arguably the best place in Iceland to see and photograph the Northern Lights. Located on the Snæfellsnes peninsula in western Iceland, this 463-meter-tall mountain is an iconic sight—so much so that parts of the TV show Game of Thrones were filmed at its majestic base.
