The people behind JScreenFix don't seem to have any features for feedback or reviews, so I'm leaving this post as a thank you to them, and as a proof to others having such issues that there is hope. Archived post.
JScreenFix – A website that randomly turns on and off each pixel at up to 60 times a second to fix stuck pixels. DPT 2.20 – A Windows application to help locate and identify dead/stuck pixels. It also has a pixel exerciser built in to possibly get lazy pixels working again.
jscreenfix really works if you leave it running for several hours. 1/4 fixed, last 3 stuck pixels are almost gone. Will leave this running overnight. Will leave this running overnight. Text Review
i pulled the trigger on an "new" acer xb271hub from amazon on friday. the box was in a bit of a bad way (the do not break seal from acer was broken) so i was a bit worried that some poor sod had already returned it. i couldn't believe my luck when the IPS glow (my main concern) was practically non existent. sadly my luck ran out as soon as i ran the black screen pixel test and one glowing ...
I noticed JScreenFix - JavaScript Screen Pixel Repair is effective to fix this though, it fades it and the left most part is 95% fixed. but its tedious to have to move that tiny box around. is there a full-screen or at least resizeable equivalent somewhere? Thanks
Dead GREEN sub pixel. That's why you see a pink dot - only blue + red are working, so they CAN'T achieve the white color aka when all are lit. 100% if you switch to 100% green background you will see it as dark dot.
For those people who used jscreenfix or youtube video with flashing colors with success in fixing your stuck pixel, how long did you have to leave it on for? I'm in the process of doing it to my pixel, on and off for the past 4 hours and wondering if there is any point in continuing/leaving it on overnight

I'm running it because I have an extremely annoying stuck pixel that flickers red and just want to know if I can do any damage to the monitor if I were to say run it over night. (7 hours) Also, is it unrealistic to expect to not have any stuck pixels on an LCD? second monitor I've bought that...
Got a stuck pixel that I'm trying to fix, ran these programs for 2-3 hours, didn't work. Should I just give up or try running them overnight ?
