I have had my AOL mail account setup in Outlook for years and it suddenly stopped working. Incoming mail is setup with the server as: imap.aol.com and the port is set to 993. Encryption type is SSL/TLS. Outgoing mail is setup for smtp.aol.com for port 465. I am using Classic Outlook.

login in to aol account ( the one you cant use on outlook) on a browser. click on the username on the top right of the page (you email name) select "account security" scroll to the bottom and tap "manage app passwords" tap the drop down menu "select your app" select "outlook desktop" tap "generate"
using AOL Mail POP and IMAP settings but Outlook will not connect my aol.co email account
I’m having the same issue as everyone else I cannot login to my email. I’ve tried using different devices, different browsers, everything. I’m getting frustrated I need to access my emails for work.

Hi, I got my AOL acct to work on Win11 by first going to AOL in a browser to generate an Outlook Password. Go to the far top left to Options>Account Info>Account Security>Scroll Down to Generate and Manage App Passwords>Select a name for ex. Outlook PC>Copy Password>Now Click Add Account in Outlook>Click Other Account Pop, IMAP>Enter AOL email>Enter Name>Lastly, Paste the Generated Password ...
