After watching some of the other original anime of 2018, I finally got across to watching SSSS. Gridman. Going into the show, I heard of all the praise, so I expecting something truly great.
Toned down, without the final fireworks, the picture would have emerged as a real sleeper for thriller fans, who should catch it anyway. It's certainly original. A lightness is maintained throughout, which leads one to believe the makers were not too concerned about taking their material seriously ...
