The method I've used until a few days ago for downloading shows from Mediaset Play doesn't work anymore. This was the method: I used IDM to obtain the ".mpd&selected..." link. Then I copied it on CMD and ran youtube-dl followed by the link and deleting the part of the link after .mpd, so "&selected" etc. Now it gives me this error:
Been tearing my hair out searching for this app - the APK exists because Mediaset Play does support Android TVs since it supports Sony, Panasonic, and Phillips TVs (all of which run ATV), but for the life of me I cannot find a self-contained APK with the TV interface.
I know, now they are switching all their services (also satellite tv) to streaming on mediaset play and they're including all under infinity subscription. Hope the method will last, at least for free contents, unless they put everything on paid subscription Thanks again for your help

it seems to sometimes let you in via your "location" and sometimes not. the one you say works is geoblocked for me, so if it works for you, then good.
