Beautiful rspb reserve with wonderful cafe and walks… however we signed up to the rspb recently because this reserve is close by and were told it was dog friendly. It really isn’t. There’s one walk that dogs can go on which is 4 miles around the reserve and dogs aren’t allowed in the cafe or shop.

Newport Wetlands is a wildlife reserve covering parts of Uskmouth, Nash and Goldcliff, in the south-east of the city of Newport, South Wales. The reserve was established in 2000 to mitigate losses of wildlife habitat when the Cardiff Bay Barrage scheme was undertaken.
