Flora is a boutique cafe located inside the lush Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens. We offer seasonal cuisine inspired by local gardens and farms. Join us for lunch, Botanical Garden events, or a special event of your own.
Flora will serve fast-fired pizza, packaged salads, treats and beverages outside from 5:30-8:15. Flora Café is open 6-8 pm for Music in the Garden with a full bar with beverage menu and Happy Hour Snacks.

Much like his signature restaurant HoQ, Hoque said the menu at Flora will continually change, with a focus on farm-to-table fare, as well as locally sourced meat, produce and dairy.
But there’s good news: HoQ co-owners Cynthia and Suman Hoque, pictured, are stepping up to open Flora, a new restaurant in the Trellis space. Considering its name, you can expect a variety of delicious veggie-forward dishes complemented with locally sourced meats.

Flora is expected to open in December. According to a news release, the menu will feature a similar farm-to-table concept as HoQ. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
