North Carolina has three distinct, scenic, and exciting 4-H Camps from which to choose for a perfect summer getaway. Every week offers many exciting options, that may include: archery, rock climbing, canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, and horseback riding to name a few. Scroll below to see the details.
Over 8,000 children ages 9 and up, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, travel annually to Georgia’s unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
Tennessee 4-H has a variety of camping options. Please contact your county Extension office to sign up for 4-H Camp. Volunteer opportunities are available. Tennessee 4-H operates four 4-H Centers located throughout the state.
4-H Memorial Camp is home to Summer Youth Camp and so much more! Located within beautiful Robert Allerton Park, 4-H Memorial Camp is a great place for conferences, retreats, meetings, workshops and camping programs.
Kentucky 4-H operates four camping locations serving 25,000 guests annually in various programs: summer camp, environmental education camp, extension-sponsored events, camp-sponsored events, and non-extension user rentals.
4-H Camp is held at Camp Bob Cooper in Summerton, SC, situated on a 110-acre peninsula on beautiful Lake Marion. Facilities include air-conditioned dorm rooms, a full-service dining facility, waterfront area with multiple docks and a water slide, gymnasium, nature trails, and a climbing tower.
Located on 270 acres of pristine woodlands and scenic ponds in Pomfret, CT, Windham-Tolland 4-H offers a summer experience rich in fun, friendship, learning and adventure. We offer resident/overnight camp and day camp for boys and girls ages 6-15.
There are day and overnight 4-H Camps throughout New York State, serving campers from every county in the state. 4-H Camps are open to all young people, whether or not they are enrolled as 4-H members. Camps offer traditional Resident Camp programs, Day Camps and shortened overnight programs for younger campers.
For more than 80 years, North Carolina 4-H camping has taught youth life skills through centers located from the mountains to the sandhills to the coast. Each year, more than 7,000 youth from across the state participate in 4-H camping programs at North Carolina’s 4-H educational centers.
Summer camp at the Skelton 4-H Center gives youth ages 9-18 years old the opportunities to learning more about themselves, their peers, and the natural world around them. Through a wide range of camp programs, participants are educated by hands-on activities so they may “learn by doing”.
