Participants. A total of 92 participants—49 bilinguals and 43 monolinguals—were tested. Bilingual participants were tested in Montréal, Québec (Canada), and were recruited from birth lists provided by a governmental health agency, whereas monolingual participants were tested in San Diego, California (United States), and were recruited through birth records and flyers.
