The Zurich ORFeome Project is dedicated to the generation and distribution of well-characterized transgenic Drosophila melanogaster UAS-ORF lines. Currently, we offer approximately 4000 fly stocks that were generated using the ΦC31 integrase method.
The current UAS-ORF library was created with the Gateway cloning approach, followed by ΦC31 integrase-mediated insertion of the transgenes into an attP landing site on the 3rd chromosome, i.e. all the lines in this library have the identical integration site (3R, attP-86Fb).. This UAS-ORF collection mainly consists of the following groups of genes:

Currently, we also offer a collection of about 170 transgenic UAS-miRNA Drosophila melanogaster strains. In these lines, the UAS-miRNA transgene encoding the miR hairpin precursor is inserted into the identical attP site that we used for the ORF collections.
