Referring to Netflix's website, here is what it says now. To download TV shows or movies you'll need one of these devices with the latest version of the Netflix app installed: Android phone or tablet. iPhone or iPad. Amazon Fire tablet. Google Chromebook. Talking with a Netflix rep they said it was removed to enhance the experience.
It mostly happens when I play something on Netflix (for a couple minutes) and then pause. After a couple of seconds of pausing, it usually starts. To fix the issue, I have to close Netflix and then reopen it. The issues stop as soon as Netflix is closed. I don't know if this is an issue with my hardware, drivers or Windows.

Since updating to Windows 11 I've been unable to use Netflix inside of Edge. Once a video starts playing, I have maybe a few seconds until all monitors black screen and flickering until that Netflix tab is closed. And it seems like there are other reports of similar issues: ,
I have the same problem. I have a laptop with an in built 4K screen and it played 4K Netflix in both the app and the browser. After the recent Microsoft update of HEVC video extensions it stopped working in both the Edge browser and the Netflix app. YouTube still works fine in 4K.
But the Edge team will need to fix the issue anyway cause old versions of Edge won't be supported by Netflix forever. I mean that Netflix will probably intentionally block old Edge versions. How can I stop Edge from updating automatically? Edge says: Update policies are configured but will be ignored because this device isn't domain joined.
