I ordered a xbox gift card and I got that error, ordered an amazon gift card and it worked. I then went back and ordered an xbox gift card again and it went through. I reverified my phone on my laptop for good measure to after I got both gift cards.I am not going to touch the redemption part of rewards until I am close to getting a series X.
Gamepass challenges, Xbox Rewards App, Dashboard and Xbox Mobile App still give a lot of points, there's no reason to drop the entire service just because of the searches
I had it register the +5 for 'Play a game on console' for me yesterday, but it never filled in Day 1 of the Weekly console bonus.
Xbox rewards a complete mess today Play a PC game, play a console game and the weekly console bonus won’t work for me at all today. However the daily quest unlocked as soon as I opened a game pass game, so it’s clearly aware that I have played a console game… Just me?

And I do believe I have the cooldown on my bing app on my Xbox, so I’ll type on letter in, get the 5 points, then press the center button to get the side bar to pop up, I press start on bing and “close” it out and then reopen it again to type in a different letter for another 5 points, and so on and so forth for the 30 searches for the day.
But when I checked Xbox app again, it finally showed "Claim Reward" after I clicked on "Play a PC Game" quest and "Back" button. This quest always seems erratic to me. Sometimes it pops just after 3 minutes. Other times, it takes almost 10 minutes. I now use the Solitaire running time to do daily search, shopping game, and AMEM.
The XBox for mobile app has, for selected users (currently only available to the UK & Brazil and now Aus & NZ), an extra rewards tab for playing Microsoft Jewel, Play a PC game with friends/Fortnight on cloud, launch the app and play a PC game. Sometimes, randomly, the tab will disappear from the mobile app.

Get the Microsoft Rewards as well as the Xbox Game Pass apps on your Xbox. This will give you the chance to get literally thousands more points per month than you would otherwise - weekly sets, points for playing games, achievement based rewards, etc. This is your biggest difference between using Xbox exclusive stuff and not.
