Supercover has limitations on cover for damage to the tyres, wheels, glass (including chipped windscreens, lights and mirrors), the roof or underbody of the car. It does not cover misfuelling.
SuperCover. Rent with zero excess Our CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and TP (Theft Protection) products come with a mandatory excess that you remain liable for should there be any damage or theft of the vehicle, regardless of how it is caused.
I just had a 3 day rental with Hertz and although we took out their Super Cover insurance at £12 extra per day to insure the excess, we had a flat tyre and apparently it doesn't include tyre damage so we have had to pay the £125 excess. Is there any point fighting this or is this a done deal?
I agree with JJLMc, the Hertz T&C for super cover doesn't exclude tires and glass, even as it excludes other things such as lost keys and wrong fuel. But apparently from this thread, tires and glass are not covered by the super cover.
Please note the terms and conditions and limitations below which apply to SuperCover. SuperCover does not cover: Accessories you rent in addition to the vehicle (e.g. Hertz NeverLost and other portable navigation units, child seats, etc.).

You can avoid* or partly avoid the excess if you buy a SuperCover-insurance**. The price of SuperCover varies from country to country and sometimes car group to car group as well. You can always ask for the price and coverage, when you book or pick up the car.
SuperCover (Full excess waiver) Optional Extra SuperCover will waiver your limited liability with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP). Essentially SuperCover gives you full protection against the cost of damage caused by collisions and theft with no excess to pay.
You can book SuperCover online for most rentals in France, Monaco, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Poland. For other countries you may be able to add SuperCover at the counter. SuperCover is always paid for at the counter when you collect the vehicle.
There is nothing in the terms and conditions that states wheels and tyres are not covered, and the Supercover specifically says Hertz shall exempt the renter of his/her financial liability, broken / loss of keys, contamination of fuel or Hertz NeverLost navigation units are not covered.
