Suzanne "Sue" Upjohn DeLano Parish (November 13, 1922 – May 12, 2010) [1] was an American aviator. Parish was a member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs) during World War II.
In her illustrious career, Sue co-owned Kal-Aero and later co-founded the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. She flew her signature pink P-40 Warhawk aircraft for more than a decade and performed routinely in air shows throughout the United States.
Parish, also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Warbirds Hall of Fame in Oshkosh, Wis., co-founded the Air Zoo in 1977 with her former husband, Preston “Pete” Parish.

As a young woman during World War II (1939-1945), Sue DeLano (later Parish) combined her deep civic pride and her love of flying to help the war effort. On January 6, 1944, Sue arrived by cattle train to Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, to join the 14th Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) class.
Sue Parish was a unique heroine - not only a WASP in WWII, the most pointed role American women aviators could get to in that war, she was a pioneer of the warbird scene.
