Marvina has been helping the homeless via her group homes, Start Living Inc. since 2003 and decided to go further in her ministry by opening Trinity Care Services, in 2019, to further help the homeless and those battling substance abuse and other behavioral health issues.

VJ is now 15 months sober, is in school to work on HVAC equipment, and works part-time doing maintenance at the Trinity Care Services office in Glendale. His relationship with family is also healing.
