GIMP, good or bad? New to gimp, and just wondering what the people who have been using it for a while think about it? Is it easy to use, does it have a lot of functionality to it? Where does it stack up against Photoshop?

Been using GIMP for years, and can confirm what the others have said about it being safe. I am not seeing anything about emotet being mentioned but I would do the following: Make sure the SHA256 on their site below the download matches the one you uploaded to Virustotal (you can also see if it is signed with a valid signature).
Is there a way to roll back to a previous version? Updated Gimp to try and get a plugin working, and found that it plainly won't. Problem is, the latest version just isn't to my liking and I can't remember what version of gimp I had prior to the update. Is there a way to go back to the previous version or no?

For example, Slack and Spotify provide two methods to install their apps, either download the .exe file from their website, or use the Store. Not sure which option is better. I heard somewhere that the battery saver mode has better control on UWP apps, not sure if this is true, and if there's more to the story.
