I know a slightly conventional solution, download an old beta version of capcut, it can be 1.x.x or 2.x.x, then log in with your Google account, then activate beta updates. They update to the version that appears in "update" and they will probably get 3.5.0 Then they will update to 3.6.5 and Ai functions will work without the need for Pro.
CapCut Tip I switched From Using the Latest Version of Capcut to a older Version because it doesn't have all the AI Features, CapCut Pro and it has a more Simple Design. If you want to download the older Versions.

I think Davinci Resolve is the best of the free video editing programs. However, the user interface for newcomers seems intimidating. I use it for 1% of the possibilities, but the logic of the program suits me. CapCut is quite simple to use does not have many advanced features, and has some features hidden and not very intuitive.
All I gotta do is take a video I already put the time and work into editing and exporting. And then convert it to a tiktok/yt shorts format. And I am unable to as I cant install capcut on the new laptop i got last night😭 Installing davinci resolve. Would really prefer to stick to capcut though.
capcut is currently the best tool for generating subtitles for free. If you want to export subtitles to srt files, today I present this tool to export subtitles to capcut. srt format and txt format. Hope you like it.
If you're in CapCut, on the right side of the screen in the Details section you can see the exact location where it's saved in the "Saved" section. I haven't tried it out, but I assume if you copy that folder and paste it into a different computer's CapCut Drafts folder, you would ideally be able to edit the project on that computer now.

Capcut starts installing into C right away there is a field to chose location but the time to click on it the installation on C is already done 95%. I have managed to stop it several times. Although I like tik tok etc I just dont want a bitedance software on my C drive
