Routledge has been together with her partner of approx. 20 years Betty Boothroyd, who is well known for being the 'Speaker of the House' (of Commons).
You have the wrong partners, Pam St Clement is with ex newsreader, Moira Stuart, and Patricia Routledge is said to be with ex House of Commons Speaker, Betty Boothroyd. IIRC Pam St. Clement and Patrica Routledge were together, but the current ones came about after they split up.
It was nice seeing her back on the TV. Could the beeb convince her to do one more ep of KUA? maybe an xmas special?
I heard this week that Pam St. Clement's partner is Patricia Routledge of Hyacinth Bucket fame, anyone know if this is true :confused: Thanks in advance :)
Irrespective of any facts (or not) surrounding Ms Routledge, I admit that I find a person's sexuality (whatever it may be) an interesting piece of information.
Patricia Routledge - one horrible stuck up cow!!! Heard her doing a live interview on my local BBC radio station (Merseyside) and she spoke to the interviewer like sh!te. Hope she's down the hole soon!!!
Just got the boxset and despite the excellent cast Patricia Routledge steals the entire show - Hyacinth is a comedy classic
I just meant that it's hard to distinguish Patricia from the snobby and prudish Hyacinth Bucket. I know the Bucket woman is just a character, but many of us instantly think of Hyacinth when Patricia Routledge comes to mind.
From various things I've heard (and interviews with Patricia Routledge), she can be a nightmare to work with. Maybe that's why she doesn't get so many roles? Patricia Routlege is actually very much involved with stage productions so although she's not on TV so much these days she's certainly not out of work.
A very good actress but why has she not appeared in anything on TV for ages. I heard she went in for the Miss Marple part but didn't get it. Has she retired?
