2025 is still made in Japan. For MY 2026 the Outback and Forester (for North America) are trading places. Forester production is moving to Indiana and the Outback is going to Japan. SIA has built over 7 million cars since it opened in 1989 so I think they have some experience building Subarus.

It is my spouse's car. primarily. She loves it and is a "cold, dead hands" vehicle for her. This is our third Subaru in a row, and it replaces a 2010 Forester that was handed down to family member. The ride and refinement difference between the 2010 Forester and the 2024 is very noticeable, as it probably should be.

I finally installed a 2" hitch to my new 2025 Forester Limited. It took me about 1 hour. Never have to lift the vehicle and it wasn't that difficult. I followed instructions from previous years 2021-2024. The kick sensors works half of the time so I just disabled the switch from the front since I never used it anyways.

With the many Forester battery issues, I'm thinking of installing a higher capacity battery in my 2020 Forester Touring, and would like to get some recommendations on the same. And did you get the battery installed by a local mechanic, or at your dealership? Just curious as to how this works.
2025 Forester Sport I used to write procedures as part of my job before retiring, so I put together this one page procedure for adjusting car settings before sending your Subaru through a full service car wash where it is pulled through a "tunnel" as it is washed.
The 2023 Forester is more likely to have fuel stolen because all you have to do is walk up to the fuel door and press it and it pops open. You are able to turn off the features you are complaining about. I went from a 2015 Forester that I loved but had none of the safety features of the '23.
