My Flexer arrived today. It's a 2017. Being a noob I wanted to verify the motor, because when I researched Tomos the conventional wisdom was that newer models had the "A55" motor. But from pictures, this thing looks like the "A35" motor - there's a reed block, the cylinder and head are black, etc. Yet, on the fins, "A5" is stamped there.
A post in the Performance moped forum by Bradley Layton. Came here to thirded this. I think the gearing/rpm sounds reasonable to me, those kits have super small transfers and as much as you can port them to rip, they seem to really make peak torque around 9500 especially with the estoril.

Thanks for all but i have a35 engine because in our country there is not even one tomos with pedal i mean modern all a55 tomoses with pedals go in america and all other countries all croatia gets is tomos with a35 engine with pegs we get a35 engine with classy black a5 cilinder and dellorto sha carb in croatia almost every house execpt zagreb ...
Literally all I did was drill a new hole into the plastic. I just lined it up and made a mark. Super easy! The little pointy "wings" towards the top hook behind the shock nuts.
Doesn't the treat reed have the wrong exhaust port placement for tomos? The 69$ DOS tomos kit looks really similar and won't require modding the pipe.
Hello all! Think I'm putting this build log in the right place. This is the detailed log of the bike I'm building for bakers dozen 2025 with Andy Thompson and Jackson Farley (I think that's Jackson's last name 😅)
Don't know what the plug cap is like on Flexer, but if it is screw in, just screw it back in and see if it works. If not then cut 1/4-3/8 inch (like 6-9mm) off the damaged end of the wire and screw it back in. Make sure wire is long enough (enough slack) to reach before you cut.

My next project was mounting the aux gas tanks. These are 1.5 gallon aluminum spun tanks off Amazon. Added some 1/4in NPT petcocks that thread right into the bottom of the tank.
