@bigal2022 . Note that Sky+ / Sky+ HD hardware cannot host any apps, including iPlayer. As @caesarome indicates, channel owners have to offer on-demand content to those (now rather old) boxes differently.

Re: BBC player & itvX Only issues I'm getting is, suddenly everything is in standard definition, not one thing is hd. All my other apps and sky are running uhd or HD no problem 🤔
My new installation of SKY q is giving a problem only on the BBC iplayer. Whilst watching a stream the screen goes black. The only way to get out of this is to return to the q home screen, reload the iplayer and resume the stream. I am set to 2160 10 bit resolution using a Samsung 48 Oled uhd tv. Is this a bug or is there a way to stop this ...
bbc iplayer stops in the middle of a programme BBC iPlayer has a habit of stopping in the middle of a programme and switching off. This happens randomly, sometimes after an hour, sometimes a little longer.
Re: BBC iPlayer Picture Quality Had the same problem,set puck to 1080p and picture far sharper on live tv and I player with no noticeable difference, anything on uhd change puck to 2160. Report post
But I cannot get to find programmes which have not been shown on TV. An example is the the David Attenborough programme called Saving Our Wild Isles which BBC keep advertising as being available on BBC Iplayer; this 53 minute programme was not shown on BBC 1 with the 5 episodes which have been shown on BBC1 for the past five Sunday evenings.
It's now 8th January 2024 and BBC have switched off BBC SD and is HD only. I have a Sky Q HD box and I can receive BBC HD Channels, no problem there. However, BBC Listings have disappeared from the Sky Go App. on my iPad (which I tend to use to send record instructions to the Sky Q Box and as an electronic "Radio Times.")
Re: Bbc iplayer buffering and freezing The problem is clearly iplayer and I wish people would stop saying the same old reboot this or clear cache etc. You go on Google and its the same issue evrrywhere for so many, everything else is fine Internet speed is good but iplayer just keeps stuttering.
