Chapter 5 Season 1 has the popularity that Chapter 1 and the beginning of 2 had but lacks in overall content. No proper Winterfest, a good TMNT crossover, no proper midseason map changes other than The Hand. Fortnite's had way better seasons but the players are there, arguably Chapter 3 and possibly Chapter 2 had the best Season 1's content-wise.
Has anyone been able to dig up the chapter 1 season 5 height map yet? UEFN I’ve only been able to obtain the season 7 and 8 variants so far, I can’t find the file in FModel either, Does anyone with have the file?
Current fortnite lacks that, as it tries to look the best it possibly can, instead of having a clear style and getting the most out of it. and yea, the map is basically the same, though I'm pretty sure they updated the grass here and there and the tree's.
Also probably the most balanced season in chapter 5 overall. Even though i hated the snipers it was fun to use them. Chapter 5 season 1 was also the first and only season I grinded ranked. Managed to hit a peak of diamond 2 in builds. Now i get zero motivation to play ranked and pubs right now. The only things i play this season is creative.
The best time in Fortnite was chapter 1 & 2 because of it's simplicity with weapons and the map and how things worked. Now it just feels like a completely different game. In my opinion this is the worst season we have had yet and I'm saying that because I'm not sure if the seasons will improve based on the new style of gameplay that we now have.

everybody’s definition differs but i would say anything from the beginning up to chapter 1 season 4. chapter 1 season 5 is when fortnite started gaining more players if i recall correctly. i’ve been playing since a little before the first battle pass ever came out
