As is well known, there is no indication that Bach intended the opening prelude of the Clavier-Ãœbung to be joined with the closing fugue (bypassing the 17 chorale preludes and 4 duets), but that is often how it is done. So therefore, I think it might be more effective to play Busoni's transcription of the fugue by itself.
