和 泰晤士/Times 相关的另一个错误翻译是纽约的 Times Square. 这个广场得名是因为纽约时报 New York Times 的总部大楼位于此处. 所以如果 New York Times 翻译为纽约时报的话, 这个广场应该翻译为时报广场. 但很显然, 时代广场的译名早已深入人心, 不可能也没必要去修改了.
