知りたい場所の気象状況を容易に把握できる「デジタルアメダスアプリ」を本日4月25日より全国に対象を拡大して運用します。 気象庁では、全国に約17km間隔で配置したアメダスの観測値に加え、気象衛星ひまわりや気象レーダー等の観測成果を組み合わせて、全国の降水量や気温、天気などを1km四方※の格子状に分割して隙間なく解析（推定）した情報（以下、「面的気象情報」という。 ）を作成しています。 ※積雪、降雪の情報のみ5km四方. 気象庁では、面的気象情報の活用を促進する取り組みとして、北海道を実証フィールドに、様々な関係者と情報の表示方法等について検討を重ねて開発した「デジタルアメダスアプリ」（以下、「本アプリ」という。
