1603年英王 詹姆斯一世 (James I，1603—1625年在位)为使国内各教派融洽相处而主持译出的《圣经》译本。 1611年出版。 参照希伯来文和希腊文《圣经》进行修订。 修订工作由6组学者分担，后各组又派2人参加全书的审订。 对《圣经》中的名称采用较通行译法，保存了教会常用字词，旁注上对有关的希腊文和希伯来原文作出进一步解释并列举出相关经文。 译文中为使语意流畅而加添的字词用不同字体排印，各章前还冠以新撰写的提要。 该译本行世后很快成为最通行译本，有人誉之为空前完美、最通俗、唯一纯正的英文《圣经》译本。 在英国语言史和文学史上亦占有重要地位。 [1] 亦译《英王钦定译本》。
