25일 국민체육진흥공단에 따르면 하남시 신장동에 있는 '미사리 경정공원' (주경기장·워밍업장·녹지 포함 132만9천933㎡)을 이전하는 방안이 논의되고 있다. 경정장 이전은 경정사업 활성화와 주변 미사지구 개발에 따른 여건 변화 때문이다. 공단은 1988년 올림픽 조정경기장 일부를 활용해 2002년 6월 18일 경정장을 개장했다. 매주 수·목요일 주간에 하루 16회 연간 80∼90여일 경주를 진행한다. 그러나 입장 인원과 매출액이 제자리걸음을 하면서 체육기금 조성이라는 사업 목적 달성에 빨간불이 켜졌다.
